چکیده

Introduction. Cercospora leaf blight (CLB) caused by kikuchii is an endemic soybean crop disease in Argentina. Objective. To develop and validate a scale to quantify the severity of CLB leaflets (Glycine max) for evaluation foliar fungicides cultivar trials. Materials methods. A diagrammatic assess on was developed. The based 50 leaflets. different levels were determined according Weber-Fechner’s stimulus-response law. proposed included 1, 4.5, 17.5, 50, 82.2, 95, 99 %. validation performed 23 raters (3 experienced 20 inexperienced) who assessed with without use scale. Results. results from three more precise than those obtained inexperienced raters. improved visual interpretation raters, estimated values close actual values. When used estimate leaflets, they accurate having determination coefficients (R2) between 0.74 0.91. According absolute errors, greatest deviation observed -2.49 2.46. However, these deviations not significantly population average. speed process evaluations we also propose scales grades. Conclusions. can be assessment fungicide trials cultivars. showed specificity assessing (CFB)

Draft Genome Sequence of Cercospora cf. sigesbeckiae, a Causal Agent of Cercospora Leaf Blight on Soybean

Cercospora cf. sigesbeckiae is an ascomycete fungal pathogen that infects various plants, including important agricultural commodities, such as soybean. Here, we report the first draft genome sequence and assembly of this pathogen.

Soybean [Glycine max (L.) Merr].

In this chapter we describe an Agrobacterium tumefaciens transformation method of soybean that utilizes mature half seeds and regeneration from the cotyledonary node region. This method results in fertile transformed soybean plants and transgenic seed in approximately 9 months. Using mature half seeds as starting material has proven to be a reliable method that does not require additional wound...

Assessment of seed storage protein composition of six Iranian adopted soybean cultivars [Glycine max (L.) Merrill.]

Seed protein quality is an important topic in the production of soybean. The quality of soybean proteins is limited by anti-nutrient proteins and low levels of essential sulfur amino acids. In this study, protein content and solubility of six cultivars were evaluated and seed storage proteins were analyzed using SDS-PAGE and scanning densitometry. The results showed that seed storage protein ba...

Influence of Temperature on Nitrate Metabolism and Leaf Expansion in Soybean (Glycine max L. Merr.) Seedlings.

The effect of various day temperatures on NADH-nitrate reductase, NADH- and NADPH-glutamate dehydrogenases, nitrate, protein and leaf area, measured at intervals during the ontogeny of the first trifoliolate soybean leaf, was determined. At 32.5 C and 25 C, nitrate concentration, nitrate reductase, and NADPH-glutamate dehydrogenase activities increased concurrently with leaf development and the...

Seed Transmission of Tomato yellow leaf curl virus in White Soybean (Glycine max)

Tomato yellow leaf curl virus (TYLCV) infection of the common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris) has been reported, but soybean (Glycine max) has not previously been identified as a TYLCV host. Five cultivars of white soybean were agro-inoculated using an infectious TYLCV clone. At 30 days post-inoculation, they showed infection rates of 25% to 100%. Typical TYLCV symptoms were not observed in any inocu...
